Karen Geller
Dr. Karen Geller is Principal of Grades 5 and 6 in the Upper Merion Area School District, King of Prussia, PA. She has taught and been a principal at the high school, middle school, and elementary school levels. Dr. Geller brought Community of Caring to the Upper Merion Area High School in 1998 and has been a leader in character education since that time. She launched Community of Caring in the Upper Merion Area Middle School after transferring in 2000. She has utilized her strong curricular and administrative skills to motivate her staff and to integrate Community of Caring core values throughout the school environment and across the curriculum. Dr. Geller is excited about all of the positive results and growth that Community of Caring brings to the classroom and community.
Dr. Geller has assisted many schools and districts nationwide in embracing character education programs through Community of Caring trainings. The National Community of Caring Outstanding Administrator Award was presented to Dr. Geller in Arlington, Virginia in 2003. That same year her school received the prestigious Outstanding Community of Caring School Award. Dr. Geller is married to Robert Geller and the family includes Marissa who is senior at George Washington University and Jake the cat.
